There are some frozen trader joe's meals that are pretty good as far as calorie count too - the shepherds pie is huge and around 500 calories but it's got protein and veggies and it's a super filling 500 - if you're not that hungry it could easily be two servings. But to be honest, I don't think it's all that different if you factor in wage differences. There are a couple of more competitive supermarket chains, but the differences aren't all that big to really shake the numbers up that much. Who would have thought the Netherlands was an excellent place for canned soup? We don't have as sharp a difference in COL when it comes to groceries, so it wouldn't really be all that different in the center Amsterdam/Rotterdam/The Hague vs. I just checked the site of the largest Dutch supermarket chain (Albert Heijn) and the most expensive en least expensive home brand soup was:ġ200ML = 40.6oz (Only a limited selection come in this size) Unilever (a major European corp) brands tend to be a bit more expensive of course. It's just not as expensive here, at least when it comes to home brands. So it doesn't seem to be the size difference then. anyways, thanks for the awards, and I'll try my best to respond to some/all comments if I happen to find time here and there throughout these next few weeks. didn't expect this post to explode, just a random thought I typed out haha. So, I'm employing a method I haven't used in a while. My exerise hit a stop and I did not want my progress to be for nothing these past couple of months. Now in grad school, the next two weeks are going to be hell for me. I learned this from one of my friends when I was going through a stressful time in undergrad. You can meal prep, but this method was the path of least resistance for me.
